Question Need help with MSI Optix G27C Monitor
Never had this issue or any other issue with this monitor up until now. Recently, after a Windows 10 update had completed, the HDMI port on my graphics card (MSI Geforce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB) stopped working with my monitor. Can no longer get a signal with the HDMI and have tried multiple cables. As a temporary solution, I am using a DVI-to-HDMI cable as we speak in the same HDMI port. When looking at my display settings, they show my monitor as a Generic PnP Monitor which wasn't the case before and I can no longer set my refresh rate to 144hz, only 60hz is an option. I have un-installed the recent Windows 10 updates that may have caused this but no luck. Also I have already tried updating all my drivers and going through every step by step solution to fix the "Generic PnP monitor" issue. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

That depends a lot on what you are used to. Some in game text might be difficult to read. Some HUDs will look rough or pixelated. In terms of being able to see a picture it will be effective enough.
I wouldn't do it today, when 27" monitors were new it was the only option, well that and 16:10. Given your GPU I would either go 24" 1920x1080 or 25" 2560x1080. Or spend on a 1440p display and plan on a GPU upgrade in the future. People tend to keep monitors a long time, more so than GPUs.

MSI Optix G27C 27" Blue florescent shading.
I currently own the MSI Optix G27C 27" and everytime I try to dual monitor and even sometimes when Im just playing games the screen will start to display a very weird metallicish flourecent blue tint in all the darker areas. The problem will continue until i turn it off, but will reappear for seemingly no reason. Any reason for this kind of problem or is it just this monitor?

What are you using to drive the G27C? What is the second monitor in dual monitor ?
When the PC is in dual monitor and displaying blue tint can you swap the two monitors (usually can be done in the video driver application, sometimes by dragging the icons for the monitors around, google to see how).
If the blue tint moves to the 2nd monitor when you swap screens it is a video card/driver problem. If the blue tint stays with the monitor check to see if the G27C is still in warranty.
Aside: if you are using a VGA connection (analog), also try swapping cables. If you are using any of the digital connections don't bother.

MSI Optix G27C Gaming Monitor 27"
I just bought this monitor last week and it has been working great except on a cold startup boot the message on the screen says No input detected monitor going to sleep,It does come alive though about 2 seconds before the desktop and then shes fine.If I restart windows10 from the desktop it reboots fine ,I can enter the bios, windows boot manager is there, but only on a cold start up is the black screen no input detected and monitor going to sleep message. My other monitor was a 22 in Asus gaming monitor and it never had this problem at all, also hooked up with the same display port cable.I do have the input selected as display port in the monitors menu screen..Any ideas on the cold boot no input detected greatly appreciated...

Which monitor Optix g27c 27" vs 24gm77-b
Hello, I returned my old Samsung ips 4ms c27f390 monitor because while gaming the motion blur was terrible.
Will I notice the same ghosting on the va 4ms gtg?
Is there anyway to reduce blue light on the TN panel w/o it being built in? I value my eyes feeling good.
Idk what to get. I'm attracted to both. I cannot run 1440p, and I don't mind how things look 1080p 27 inches. I just hated the Samsung because it looked like there were black tracers following anything against a contrasting color. Do all monitors have the same ghosting if similar response time but different panels?
I'm also becoming worried about blue light causing eye damage... What are your thoughts on that when coming from a monitor?
