i5-4670

I5 4670 vs I7 3770sGood morning fellas. I am about to buy an Intel cpu to match with my new Gtx 1060 when it arrives. I have two cpus in mind, both are used and be sold 150 euros. So, i7 3770s or I5 4670?? Mostly for games like Battlefield 1. Thanks!

Well, not cheap - decent. I'd not buy used MB, but no problem with used CPU.It depends on your budget, if you can comfortably afford Z170 MB + i5-6600K - may be, depending on your monitor and graphics card.the thing is that i5 is not powerful enough in certain combinations. For example GTX 1070 on 1080p@144Hz monitor would be ~30% not utilized with i5 in some games. But if you are limited in budget, i'd putt those 100+ euros into GPU.i7-3770s (it is boosting to 3.9GHz) + GTX 1060 will give you awesome experience on 1080pif you have higher res like 1440p - GTX 1070 would be the GPU choice.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,review-32781-5.html Sandy & Ivy Bridge based quads are still up there at the top as far as gaming performance goes, along with Haswell. I'd be more concerned about features, GPU budget & overclocking. as for the 15% - just sounds like an arbitrary number. Here's hexus testing it & the sandy/ivy bridges out using the GPU you mentioned before http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/cpu/56853-intel-core-i5-4670k-22nm-haswell/?page=8

Better CPU Ugrade from i5 4670 only GamingRight now Im running an i5 4670 along 16gb of ram (2x8gb) and a GTX 1080ti on an itx platform.Im planning on upgrade my cpu since the gpu prices for 20 series are a NO for me on my country, so my options are the next:(The prices is the same for both options.)Im more interested on long term gaming performance, I game at 1440p/4k, lower temps and lower power consumption. Thanks in advance.

How much better 1700 actually is, is debatable. 2 Extra cores is nice, depends on what you use it for.Pretty much same, but still, if you think you need 2 more cores, go for it, because more cores should give it longevity.

I5 4570 Gtx 760/I5 4670 r9 270xhello, i want to chose a build spec...so what is better between this :-i5 4570 with msi gtx 760 twin frozr- i5 4670 with sapphire r9 270x vapor xso i confused to chose those both! i want gaming in stock and no OC! and good for future 2/3 years later, i heard amd has mantle for r9 series, are that make better gaming performance than directx? or i should get gtx 760? my budget for vga is just $200 i want to choose a good gpu for gaming & Budget!sorry for my engish

With its 38A/456W +12V rail, it should be fine. There are better PSUs, but if you already have it, no problem. Feel free to go with 280, it won't eat up the PSU, i5 is very power efficient, you're fine

Core i5 4570 vs core i5 4670Hi,I am debating which cpu I should get for my first build. The i5 4570 is 3.2-3.6 and the i5 4670 is 3.4-3.8, so they are quite different in terms of performance. My question is would I be able to play high demanding graphic games such as crysis, bf4, etc with the 4570 or I would be better off with 4670? I have an all in one lenovo B320 core i3 and I cant play any of these games due to the cpu speed and not efficient graphic card, so I am deciding to build my own pc from scratch even though it would be more expensive.Any comments appreciated.Cheers

If you're getting a Haswell you might as well get the 4670k. Why? Because Intel removed the +4-bins OC feature from non K chips on Haswells vs Ivy's so all the non-K Haswells are actually slower than the Ivy chips they're supposed to replace (with a Z77 motherboard). Eg:-3470 = 3.2GHz Base but can be OC'd to 3.8-4.0GHz (3.4-3.6GHz Turbo + 400MHz)4570 = 3.2GHz Base but can be OC'd to 3.4-3.6GHz (3.4-3.6GHz Turbo - NO extra +400Mhz "limited OC")3570 = 3.4GHz Base but can be OC'd to 4.0-4.2GHz (3.6-3.8GHz Turbo + 400MHz)4670 = 3.4GHz Base but can be OC'd to 3.6-3.8GHz (3.6-3.8GHz Turbo - NO extra +400Mhz "limited OC")Overall, Haswell's are 1-10% faster (more efficient) than Ivy's (depending on game), but Ivy non-K's are a constant 10% faster vs Haswell non-K's (due to +4 extra multipliers) under all games. So believe it or not, an i5-3570 (non-K) is faster at max Turbo than an i5-4670 (non-K). My advice is to either get a 4670K (performance) or a 3470/3570 (budget). The non-K Haswell's are actually a step backwards as they run roughly 400MHz slower than their non-K Ivy Bridge predecessors on a good motherboard.
