24.5" Acer KG251Q gaming monitor performance benchmarks: response, input and full specs review

The minimum response rate of Acer KG251Q is 1 ms, which is eliminates ghosting effects. For the average response rate, the Acer KG251Q scores 3 ms, which ensures effective synchronization with the high refresh rate. The Acer KG251Q is a relatively new monitor. The monitor has a VESA mount. With the AMD FreeSync support, this monitor is compatible with both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. In terms of pixel density, the Acer KG251Q has an excellent density of 89 pixels-per-inch, resulting in sharper text and picture quality. The Acer KG251Q has a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz and this may be too low for the extremely fast frame rates in competitive games. The brightness of Acer KG251Q is lower than other monitors. The Acer KG251Q has no Display Port and which is essential for NVIDIA cards to work with AMD FreeSync. The monitor has an unimpressive contrast ratio of 1000 : 1. For graphics color quality, the Acer KG251Q has an average color depth of 6 -bit, resulting in dithered gradients and more slightly less accurate colors. Graphically demanding games may cause frame drops outside the adative refresh rate of 55 Hz. Acer KG251Q has a total input lag of 18 ms, which is bad among the competition. The monitor uses a TN panel which suffers from color shifting when viewed from horizontal and vertical angles and has slightly washed colors compared to IPS and VA panels.

Question Monitor Broken - Acer Predator KG251Q
I spilt cordial over the screen yesterday and the display is still working fine after wiping it. The problem is the monitor buttons to turn it off and change settings. mid game the monitor will turn itself off or scroll through all the settings without touching anything. I have tried to take the panel off where the buttons are to air it out but hasn't done anything. Anyone know a fix for this or how much it would cost to take it in to an IT store?

Acer KG251QF 120Hz only.
Hey everyone. I just bought a new monitor (Acer KG251QF), was looking forward to trying out 144Hz as my old monitor is only 75Hz.

However the max refresh rate i can select is 120Hz. I'm hoping you guys can help me out here!

I am using the DVI Dual Link cable which came with the monitor.

Specs;

I5-8400

Asus Prime B360M-K

GTX 970 4GB "Black Edition".

16GB DDR4 RAM.

Cheers.

Thanks for the quick reply! I only have the "PC" option in Nvidia Controlpanel. I also tried changing the refresh rate in Windows Display settings but i run into the same issue.

Try setting a custom resolution.

Benq Zowie XL2411 or Acer KG251QF
Hey!

Which monitor would be better? The Benq Zowie XL2411 or the Acer KG251QF?

I'd go with the Acer as it has free sync. Free sync wont matter if you have a Nvidia GPU, but if you have an AMD GPU it will be a nice feature. Other than that, both of the monitors have similar specification.

kg251q acer how to achieve 75 hz
I recently ordered the acer kg251q and I have noticed that there is no dvi port on the monitor. It is a 75 hz monitor with freesync and 1ms response time and it was only $139.99 on amazon with one day shipping.

I am wondering as it only has hdmi and vga, how will I achieve 75 hz without dvi?

Try looking in the display settings in windows first. But if the monitor states it can do 75hz at 1080p on HDMI (which your one does!) then it can!. Also there seems to be a lot of uncertainty around, some people say HDMI will only do a max of 60hz @ 1080p, but truth is that it depends on your monitor and the cable you are using.

as a side note, You may need to see if you can turn the GPU scaling OFF. Otherwise you may not see the 75hz refresh rate in windows settings.

Hope this helps.
