Upgrade Skylake i3-6100 with i5-7500 or 7600k?I don't overclock and have a shabby H110 motherboard anyways.

You will need to flash your bios in order to run a 7500/7600k. As for which to buy, since you have a H110 motherboard, there is really not any reason to buy a 7600k as you will not be able use overclocking features. So I would go with the 7500 all the way.In like 10 days intel is releasing the 8th gen desktop CPUs. While the i5s wont be compatible with your board, the new locked i3 may be and the price is $120 and it will be a 4 core chip like the 7500. The point is, the 7500s price should drop considerably over the next several weeks and you may be able to find a good deal on one if the new i3 only work on a z370 motherboard.

saranyootiwutanon,On behalf of Tom's Moderator Team, welcome aboard! At the top of all our Forums you'll see "Stickies" which are Threads that are permanently "stuck" in place, and are reference information posted for everyone's benefit. Near the top of the CPU's Forum you'll see a Sticky you might want to read: Intel Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.htmlThe short answer to your question is yes, 75°C is OK.Here's the operating range for Core temperature:Core temperatures above 85°C aren't recommended.http://imgur.com/Svr2si8.jpgCore temperatures increase and decrease with Ambient temperature.Highest Core temperatures occur during stress tests, rendering or transcoding, but are lower during less processor intensive workloads such as applications and gaming. CPU workloads and Core temperatures can vary greatly between games. Idle temperatures below 25°C are generally due to Ambient temperatures below 22°C. Normal or "Standard" Ambient temperature is 22°C or 72°F.Once again, welcome aboard!CT

Upgrading the i5 7500Hi I just built a PC but for some reason I don't feel contented. Is it worth upgrading from an i5 7500 to Ryzen 1600 or 1700?I would like to stream and game on same PC the following titles : Dota 2, CSGO, and PUBGAlso in the future I would want to upgrade to Nvidia Volta.I currently have a GTX 1060 6GB

To be honest I'd just drop a 7700 or 7700k in there & be done.As good as ryzen is a platform change on a recently built system doesn't make any sense whatsoever.Should never have bought an i5 in the first place if streaming was one of the requirements really.

The I5-7500 has been clocked higher compared to the I7 and has more memory bandwidth which will be very helpful in gaming. The downside is it takes more power to run, which wont be an issue with your current 1000w build, but also supports less threads. The I7 takes less power and has more threads. In the end I recommend the I5 for more brute strength to have for gaming

The 6400 is slower than molasses in Siberia. It's regularly beaten by the budget i3-6100 in most games because it is so slow. The 7500 is a huge improvement over its older, slower cousin. But thats also due slightly to improvements in the motherboard between the skylake and kabylake base, ability to use 2400 ram vrs 2133 etc, so pairing up the cpu with the right mobo helps.
