Perfect. So yeah upgrading to the 1050ti or even the 1060 3gb or 1060 6gb would be a decent upgrade. I personally would go with the 1060 if you can afford it, because it is quite a bit more powerful than the 1050ti, but yeah, do your thing.

We can take some educated guesses knowing the relative performance in silicon size between Maxwell and Pascal960 = 8 SM units = 50%1050ti = 5 SM units 47.5% - 52.5%980 = 16 SM units = 100%1060 = 10 SM units = 95% - 105%Fairly rough without taking into account memory bandwidth and capacity.So depending on the titles the 1060 does better than the 980, and particularly VR applications.

If you believe the benchmarks available online, not necessarily. By rights, it should be stronger than the 1050 Ti. But it appears to only equal or slightly lag the GTX 1050 Ti. I imagine since they are so close in performance tho, and the 380 being cheaper for you, that it would be the best bang for the buck.Hopefully it isn't one that has been cooked to death doing bitcoin mining 24/7.
