ECS G31T-MWell, one of my friends has a PC with this motherboard (ECS G31T-M) with an E8300 installed.I have in mind to upgrade from E8300 to Core 2 Quad Q9450, but there is conficted information on ECS's site:--> LINK 1- Specifications tab notice: " G31T-M is capable to support Core 2 Quad Q6700 G0 and Q6600 G0".- CPU Support says that supports it (even if Q9650)--> LINK 2- Manual's page #5 says only Q6600 / Q6700.What applies?

Going from my memory, the G31 supports all C2Qs. Only Nvidia's chipset from the time had issues with the 45nm Quads. The manual is probably just old and not updated. I would make sure to update the bios before you put the new chip in. I also wouldn't spend much on it. $10-$15 at most.

Under clocked core 2 quad q9450 1.66ghzhi... i bought a new motherboard(millenium tech) for my core 2 quad.. but the frequency is at 1.66ghz.. i think my system is underclocked.. the actual frequency of processor is 2.66ghz.. what should i do to make it work at 2.66ghz.. please answer me

likewise. just want to make sure that you understood, there is a cpu feature, like intel speed step that actually runs the cpu at a lower clock, to save power.but, if you are, say playing a demanding game and it is still not at normal speed (2.66), then there is an issue.what you can do is to download a benchmark tool, say prime95, run it, see what happens. you can use task manager to monitor cpu utilization. hope this helps

Core 2 Quad q9450This isn't really me asking people for an answer, but a straight answer about whether or not the c2q 9xxx series was just generally very hot. Under idle this thing runs at low 50's don't ask if I've reseated the cooler cause of poor contact or used new thermal paste cause yes both times. Under barely half load this thing reaches 60 almost. So I want a straight answer if its normal under a hyper tx3 for this cpu to reach these temperatures no suggestions toward a new cooler just a straight answer.

Anything under 80 on the hottest core should be fine under full load. Mine didn't exceed 60C (100% CPU fan speed) in a 15-minute Prime95 26.6 Small FFTs test.

Good GPU to run with Intel duo 2 quad core q9450as said in subject, is there a good GPU to match with my CPU. currently i have a AMD Redeon HD 3650.... i bought it outdated.. now its stupid outdated and i was looking for a good replacement?Any thoughts?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 overclock Temp fears!!Hello all,I have read numerous posts about overclocking the Q9450 but i hope to erase any fears i have with you fine people.I have a q9450 at 2.6GHZI have 8gb running at 800mhz (should be 1066) but was down-clocked as cpu couldn't handle it.Also a Nvidia gtx 660 2gbMy temps sit at on Core temp and Realtempcore 0 = 44core 1 = 44core 2 = 34core 3 = 34running prime 95 at full load my core look like this.core 0 = 61-62core 1 = 61-62core 2 = 55-56core 3 = 55-56I have got a new heat sink an Alaska and my room temp is good, i have re-applied heat sink paste several time to get it perfect.I am too frightened to overclock at the moment with these temps.. what else can i do?I am so lost... is my ram suffering much from running at 800mhz as apposed to 1066?
