Download CPU-Z and see what "Core Speed" says in Windows. At 166Mhz FSB, it should be "3652 MHz". If so, then you've just gained a 25% boost. You could always gradually raise it higher. Many i3-530's have no problem doing 3.9-4.0GHz. Which would be a 35% boost. Make sure to run a stability testing problem like Prime or Intel Burn Test. If it crashes, either reduce the frequency slightly or upp the voltage slightly.

Overclocking i3-530 with stock coolerHi,I've never overclocked anything on my PC but I've read that I can overclock my i3-530 to 4ghz with stock cooler here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/2921/5So how do I overclock? I would appreciate a detailed guide. Everything that I found online was kind of vague and complicated because of poor explanations.I also don't have a GPU yet, except my integrated one that's in the CPU. Don't know if that's important. Also my MOBO is Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 and I have 4gb 1333mhz ram. Thank you in advance

There's nothing theoretical about it. It is a bad idea to overclock without the proper equipment. Yes a professional from AnAndTech overclocked with similar specs but did you read the article completely? They did this test with 2 different motherboards and experienced different problems with both when overclocking. Also, that PC probably wasn't in a PC case running games all the time. If you are adamant on overclocking, the best thing you can do is read. Overclocking is not a set and forget strategy. It takes time testing for stability, hours actually. It's a trial and test process. All you will really need to do is increase the Multiplier. Save, reboot and test (monitoring temps).http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/intel_core_i5_750_overclocking_guide,1.htmlhttp://www.overclock.net/t/605848/i5-i7-lga-1156-overclocking-guide-to-4ghz

I3 530 Integrated graphics vs Geforce 210So well, the question explains itself, a friend of mine plays with this cpu and he has a geforce 210, is it better to play without the gpu or to play with it? Games really normal with no hard requirements

The GT210 is a bit stronger than the iGP found in a Clarkdale i3. Not by a huge margin, but still "better". Old article, but would have to be to compare an i3-530's GPU!https://techgage.com/article/asus_geforce_210_gt_220_gt_240/5/

Only "K" series CPU and Z & X series chipsets motherboards allow overclocking. Forcing overclock in non-k CPUs WILL damage the motherboard VRM and death finally.
