Unable to find Driver for phenom ii x2 555Hi,I have recently wiped out my hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 before giving it to my friend. Just realised I couldn't find all the drivers now from the AMD website. My motherboard is AMD phenom II x2 555. I tried to google it and found there are some sites I can download the drivers from but not sure if they are legit.Thank you in advance

"My motherboard is AMD phenom II x2 555"That's a CPU, not a motherboard. No wonder you can't find the motherboard drivers, AMD don't even make motherboards AFAIK

Phenom II x2 555 with Gigabyte M61p-S3?I have a am2 gigaybte m61p-s3 motherboard currently with a athlon 64 x2 6400+, it runs hot and stuff and i can get a phenom II x2 555 for like $40 with a after market cooler, and i checked on the gigabyte website and there is a bios update to take certain am3 cpus including phenom II quad cores and dual cores and ones with same tdp etc but the 555 says N/A, so would it not work or is it just an incomplete list?

Personally I'd upgrade the whole system to AM3 as steamroller is coming out.

My older son had a Phenom II X550, he was able to get one core unlocked, the fourth core would cause the system to not POST.As for bottlenecking, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The only way I'd discourage you is if you were going for a super fast card (like a GTX 970) or you had a card that is nearly as fast as the 750Ti. So unless you are the later case, I would go for it. There is no doubt that you'll be bottlenecked, but it won't be too bad.
