I5 4670 vs I7 3770sGood morning fellas. I am about to buy an Intel cpu to match with my new Gtx 1060 when it arrives. I have two cpus in mind, both are used and be sold 150 euros. So, i7 3770s or I5 4670?? Mostly for games like Battlefield 1. Thanks!

Well, not cheap - decent. I'd not buy used MB, but no problem with used CPU.It depends on your budget, if you can comfortably afford Z170 MB + i5-6600K - may be, depending on your monitor and graphics card.the thing is that i5 is not powerful enough in certain combinations. For example GTX 1070 on 1080p@144Hz monitor would be ~30% not utilized with i5 in some games.But if you are limited in budget, i'd putt those 100+ euros into GPU.i7-3770s (it is boosting to 3.9GHz) + GTX 1060 will give you awesome experience on 1080pif you have higher res like 1440p - GTX 1070 would be the GPU choice.

i7 3770 bottleneck gtx 1070 in pubg?soo in my previous thread i cleared my doubts of upgrading from i3 3210 to i7 3770 with a gtx 1070... i saw some benchmarks in youtube... honestly i7 3770 is great pair but i saw some pubg benchmarks and the fps was low.. i mean the gpu usage was always at 80 % not 99% but cpu was not hitting 100% either cpu usage was always sitting at 60% to 70% ... so i was wondering is i7 3770 bottleneck for 1070 ?? also is it enough for 60fps for lets say 2 to 3 years ??

Sorry, but you misunderstand things. A gpu/cpu should ideally never hit 99%. A cpu at 60% just means that the game engine is using more of some threads than others. 99% usage on a cpu means all threads are saturated to maximum and anything more added is now going to start slowing other things down as the cpu starts prioritizing demands.A gpu hitting 99% means it really isn't powerful enough to paint the details correctly and timely at that resolution to maintain the fps from the cpu. Something is going to suffer.Both the gpu and cpu always perform at maximum ability, usage is just a measure of how much of that maximum ability is being used, it's not a measure of how much capacity it is using. So a gpu at 50% doesn't mean it'll put 50% more fps on screen at 100%, it means that it's already putting 100% ability into the current fps using 50% of what the card can give and raising details or graphics or resolution will eat up some or all of the 50% that's left.

i7 3770 with gtx 1070 in 2018soo i want to upgrade my i3 3210 to i7 3770 i have a 1070 which is wayy too weak for my current cpu ... i was planning to get a i5 8400 but it would require me to swap my motherboard and rams which are costly af and im on a tight budget ... will i7 3770 bottleneck my 1070 ? im a casual rpg / fps gamer... i like 60fps on rpgs and above 60fps on fps .. will it provide these fps ?? i know games will have the new "ray tracing" but it will reduce fps to 30 anyway and i think it shouldnt be a hit on cpu as ray tracing use gpu power and i have no intention to use ray tracing.. i m thinking to use this rig for 3 years atleast till i get a part time job and at that time i would enitrely change my system so will it be able to push for 3 years ? with i7 3770 ??pls tell me cuz then i would have to pay wayy less to game

I7 3770 vs I7 3770s do not LaughQuestion, i have a motherboard Gigabyte Z77-d3h. I found two cpus amazing price, both are used but i need see its worth the price difference. I7 3770 Non K = $187 USD I7 3770 S = $156 USD If i remove the Turbo Technology and increase the pin x4. How much its the Max ghz i can get for 4 cores?. I heared the i7 3770s the max its 3.5 ghz to quad core and the I7 3770 its 3.9 ghz on the quad core. If this is true then i might just get the I7 3770 but if the I7 3770s can get 3.9 ghz on the 4 cores then i get this without think. That would use a 1150 socket board and ddr3 memory .. I have bought countless cpus on ebay used and never had a bad one yet ...so with that said you have a little more info now to make your decision hope this helps btw the i5 I posted is the slowest of the bunch a 4440 non K and not over clockable for 190 bucks usd...
