In terms of cost, pricing clearly is a genuine issue here and the price of RTX 4080 is simply ridiculous. For those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the RTX 4080 is very expensive and there are better value choices in the short term. Spec for spec, this RTX 4080 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 3080, by boasting 32.8 % more fps. The RTX 4080 has 16 GB RAM compared to the RTX 3080 's 10 GB video memory.
In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 4080 blows past the RTX 3080, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and, amazingly, even the RTX 3090 as well. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 4080 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RTX 3080, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Atomic Heart, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Marvel's Avengers, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Borderlands 3 at 63 fps to 80 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 68 fps.
