RTX 3070 benchmark with i7-930 1080p, 1440p, Ultrawide, 4K benchmarks at Low Quality

It is worth noting that the RTX 3070 is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RTX 3070 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. This combination between RTX 3070 and Intel Core i7-930 @ 2.80GHz is going to cause serious bottlenecks in many games and cause severe FPS loss. 4K gaming is joyous on this RTX 3070 , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.

The RTX 3080 might be the high-end flagship of the latest Ampere set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most mid-range PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 3070 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 499. The good news is, with the release of the RTX 3070 Ti, the RTX 3070 's price is getting more discount.

NVIDIA ’s xx70 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Ampere graphics card inside the RTX 3070, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. Spec for spec, this RTX 3070 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 2070, by boasting 48 % more fps.

In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 3070 blows past the RTX 2070, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER and, amazingly, even the RTX 2080 as well. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 3070 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RTX 2070, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER and it really justifies an upgrade.

Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX 6800, the RTX 3070 was -9.4 % slower. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play The Last of Us Part I, Forspoken, Halo Infinite, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart at 66 fps to 79 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 75 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Hogwarts Legacy, Dead Space, Red Dead Redemption 2, Halo Infinite, Assassin's Creed Valhalla at 66 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 68 fps. For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Battlefield 2042, Final Fantasy XV, Hitman 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, Hitman 3 at 62 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.
