At this price level, it’s hard to imagine a better 27" gaming monitor than the Dell SE2717H. It offers plug-and-play accuracy and FreeSync that will match well with most gaming systems.
Our budget gaming monitor coverage continues with Dell’s 27-inch SE2717H. It’s an FHD/IPS panel with FreeSync up to 75Hz and a very attractive price tag. We’re checking it out today.
The only energy-saving option is to turn off the power LED. Since the SE2717H is already fairly efficient, there won’t be much gain here. The Menu screen offers multiple languages, five ...
DELL SE2717H & AMD Freesync Issue
I've been having issues with my Dell SE2717H monitor when Freesync is enabled, when I play games in fullscreen mode, the screen blacks out completely for a second or 5 and then comes back again, and this happens randomly depending on what's being displayed. This gets resolved if I deactivate Freesync.
Also, when I switch the screen off and on at the power button or when it comes out of sleep mode, it also starts flashing Green or Black rapidly at a constant rate depending on the current frequency setting. Only a pc reboot solves this issue.
I've tried this with an Asus RX 570 Card, as well as a Sapphire RX 580 card, with just about every driver iteration available up until the latest version, and nothing seems to fix the problem, I have contacted Dell (Who replaced the Monitor with a brand new one), as well as AMD and Sapphire (who both keep repetitively asking stupid questions and giving useless feedback).
I've also tried different HDMI cables, motherboards, HDDs and fresh Windows 10 installations, still having the same issues.

75Hz Support For Dell SE2717HR 27
Does this require a "high-speed HDMI cable" to obtain 75 Hz, or will a standard HDMI cable work? Thanks in advance!
I'd also like to know if I can get a 75Hz refresh rate if I'm using an HDMI to DVI-D cable or adapter? The same goes for an HDMI to Display Port cable or adapter? Thanks!

So long as the HDMI portion (including the cable) is HDMI 1.3 or higher then all of those would work. Most newer HDMI cables are 1.4. Displayport and DVI always support 75hz.

Cheap IPS Freesync 27": Dell SE2717H or LG 27MP59G-P ?
Hello there
I'm interested in a cheap 27" IPS monitor with Freesync. I dont mind about 1080p at 27", i have a deep desk, i can place it more than 3 feet away if i have to, but it's got to be IPS , Freesync, and rather large.
My budget does not stretch at all beyond 250€ and since it's got to be big (27"), Freesync and IPS, I narrowed the search down to these two monitors for around 200€:
-Dell SE2717H
-LG 27MP59G-P
I'll be using this for casual gaming of AAA titles: think GTA V, Mafia 3, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, Resident Evil 7, etc. I'll also be watching some TV conected to it, Animes, a couple of Movies.
Which one you guys think should have better picture/motion quality overall?

Need Help Calibrating Dell se2717h (se2717hx)
So i recently bought this monitor and i read tom's hardware review of this monitor and i have to say for the price, this monitor is incredible! Except for the 3 dead pixels it came with out of the box (will see tomorrow if BB will replace it because of this).
I followed the color/contrast guidelines in the article and colors look great [I'm using it at full brightness]. However i am having a slight issue with gamma(luminance?). I use this side by side next to a hp 27c and while watching movies for some reason the se2717h/hx misses alot of the details in the darker scenes/areas where the 27c does not.
Turning up the gamma in windows settings helps but the whole screen becomes way too bright/gammish and it is really off-putting. The review says the gamma in this monitor is nearly perfect so i don't know what is the problem. It's probably not a cable issue because I'm using the cable straight out of the box.
Can anyone help me calibrate this monitor or fix my issue?

I need a little Monitor Upgrade and my Budget is low after buying the Nvidia 1070, so my simple Question is, can i use the 75Hz with this card and Display? Some says it´s possible and some not, so what is true?
Thx for help.

A quick look at the manual's specs says 75hz only with Freesync, 60hz for regular 1080 content.
So you will need an AMD GPU if you want the extra 15hz.
