27" MSI Optix G272 gaming monitor performance benchmarks: response, input and full specs review

The monitor panel has good viewing angles and offers better contrast and colors than TN panels. The MSI G272 is a relatively new monitor. To compensate for graphically demanding games, the MSI G272 has a very good low end adaptive refresh rate of 20 Hz that can adapt to more lower frame rate drops. The monitor has a VESA mount. For graphics color quality, the MSI G272 has an excellent color depth of 8 -bit, resulting in smoother gradients and more accurate colors. The MSI G272 has the Display Port and this is essential for NVIDIA cards to work with AMD FreeSync. For the extremely fast frame rates, the MSI G272 has a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz that allows smoother gameplay. The brightness of MSI G272 is lower than other monitors. In terms of pixel density, the MSI G272 has an low density of 82 pixels-per-inch, resulting in pixelated text and picture quality. MSI G272 has a total input lag of 19.1 ms, which is bad among the competition. The minimum response rate of MSI G272 is 3.5 ms, which is can cause ghosting effects. The monitor has an unimpressive contrast ratio of 1403 : 1. For the average response rate, the MSI G272 scores 8.6 ms, which can cause motion blurring due to ineffective synchronization with the high refresh rate. Without the AMD FreeSync support, this monitor is not compatible with AMD graphics cards.
