i5 4590s for gaming?Hey everyone and thanks for any responses I was wondering if I would see any real difference in using a i5 4590s over a i5 4690k or even a i7? gaming purposes only don't really multitask while gaming. Thanks again!

You won't see a difference in more than a few fps in the worst cases for gaming between these processors.

i5 4590 vs i5 4590sI'm considering one of these CPUs to buy as I have no intention of overclocking. Two differences - Clock speed (3.3 GHz for 4590, 3.0 GHz for 4590s) and TDP (84W for 4590, 65W for 4590s).How much of an overall difference is 300 MHz?Does the lower TDP make any real difference in power consumption in normal usage, gaming etc?

4570 is only choice if want best performance. just found it at cpu-world:4570s:2900 MHzTurbo frequency 3200 MHz (4 cores)3300 MHz (3 cores)3500 MHz (2 cores)3600 MHz (1 core)........................................................4570:Frequency 3200 MHzTurbo frequency 3400 MHz (4 cores)3500 MHz (3 cores)3600 MHz (1 or 2 cores)So to keep low tdp "S" the more cores we use the more it slow them down. So speed depending on the thermal conditions and the type of workload. My buddy bought "s" and sold it fast coz he plays gtaV which use 4 cores. Difference is big.

i5 4590s vs i5 4590 which one ?I've been searching the web and its clear that the 4590s is weaker and has lower power cumsumption. Than the 4590 is stronger with a higher power cunsumption But which one would the consumer purchase for a gaming experience? Can the 4590s hold its own with the 4590 on games ? Can you notice a difference ? Or is the 4590 and $50 more dollars a year on a electric bill( or w.e the difference is) simply not worth it. I5 4690s and I5 4690 are opinions welcomed as well.

Both CPUs have the same Turbo clock, which makes them almost exactly the same performance-wise.On the power side, the non-S may have a 20W higher TDP rating but this is only a worst-case. Under most real-world conditions, the difference between the two CPUs will be much smaller. If you measured how much power the "84W" CPU actually used under full-load at stock clock/voltage, it would be in the 40-50W range.

Intel i5-4590s OverclockI have done some research and I've figured out that the "S" in the model name means that it uses less power. Now, what I don't know is if its possible to overclock it even if it hasn't got the "K" mark? (If I've understood the whole thing, the k cpu's are the only ones able to be OC'd.) Sorry for my bad explanation but I really hope that someone has something to say so I know if its even possible to overclock the thing.

You understand things correctly. The S-suffix designate a low-power, 65W TDP processor that performs only slightly lower than the standard and -K models. They are, like the standard model i5-4590, locked and cannot be overclocked.
