Core2 Duo E4500
    Ryzen 5 5500
    • The Ryzen 5 5500 has higher Level 2 Cache. Data/instructions which have to be processed can be loaded from the fast L2 and the CPU does not have to wait for the very slow DDR RAM
    • The Ryzen 5 5500 has more cores. The benefit of having more cores is that the system can handle more threads. Each core can handle a separate stream of data. This architecture greatly increases the performance of a system that is running concurrent applications.
    • The Ryzen 5 5500 has more threads. Larger programs are divided into threads (small sections) so that the processor can execute them simultaneously to get faster execution.
    • For some games, a cpu with a higher clock speed, or in a technical name IPC (Instructions per clock), has better results than other CPU's with higher core count and lower core speed.
    • The Ryzen 5 5500 has a smaller process size. The faster a transistor can toggle on and off, the faster it can do work. And transistors that turn on and off with less energy are more efficient, reducing the operating power, or “dynamic power consumption,” required by a processor.

graphic driver for windows 8 core 2duo e4500I have installed windows 8 on core 2 duo e4500. The graphics driver were updated automatically by windows. The problem is the maximum screen resolution I am getting is only 1240x720, which doesn't allow several apps to open. I have searched over the net but haven't been able to find Graphic Driver for Windows 8 on Core 2 Duo e4500. Please advice if there are any graphic drivers available or is there any way to increase the screen resolution?

Are you running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? They are entirely different in regard to most drivers and much of the core OS so it makes a difference. Are you using the integrated graphics or an add in graphics card? You might try reinstalling the Windows 7 32 bit drivers, make sure they are the 32 bit drivers, after uninstalling the current drivers. Sometimes just reinstalling the drivers corrects resolution issues. I don't see that there are any Windows 8 or 8.1 drivers available for that motherboard from the Intel website.

Check the computer manufacturer's (Dell, Lenovo, Asus, HP, etc.) site for downloads and drivers for the model of your computer. As was previously mentioned there are no drivers for the CPU.

Msi gtx 750ti 2gb and intel core duo e4500I have an old system, intel core duo e4500, gigabyte radeon hd 4650 (oc)and 2 gb of ram. I decided i should replace the gpu with the msi gtx 750ti twin frozr gaming 2gb oc. Will i have any problem with the new setup? And is it possible that the cpu would bottleneck the gpu? I dont play really demanding games, more like league of legends, TERA, skyrim and after the upgrade, battlefield 3 or 4. The resolution is 1080p. P.SI might upgrade to 4 gb ram as wellThank you.

well your cpu is the bottleneck to some degree you have a 775 socket motherboard if its like a G41 or last chipsets they came out for that socket then you could spice up your cpu for cheap perhaps q9400 goes for $25 on ebay now and a xeon x3370 goes for $45 which is essentially a q9650 which would put you at the top tiers of 775 performance still good ole tech i have a qx9650 @ 4ghz and that puppy is still smoking lol.

core 2 duo e4500 to e8400 upgradeHello, I have a problem upgrading my cpu on LGA 775 socket. My Pc is old HP dx7400 Microtower with MS-7352 motherboard. I have upgraded my bios to version 1.14 and replaced my core 2 duo E4500 with E8400. The Pc will load bios and recognize the upgraded cpu, but after trying to boot to windows, it restarts. I have also tried resetting cmos, but it didnt work. Can someone help? Ty!

Your mobo is limited to 2,66 GHz. See Hp specifications. E8400 is a 3,0 GHz.https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-compaq-dx7400-microtower-pc/3459270/document/c01155744You can see at bios "system information" (first picture you have sent) that the "processor speed is 2,66 ghz" when E8400 is a 3,0 GHz processor. I think your mobo can't use this processor and it becames crazy.
