i3-2130
  • The i3-2130 is more power efficient and generates less heat.
i9-10900K
  • The i9-10900K has higher Level 3 Cache. This is useful when you have substantial multiprocessing workloads, many computationally intense simultaneous processes. More likely on a server, less on a personally used computer for interactive desktop workloads.
  • The i9-10900K has more cores. The benefit of having more cores is that the system can handle more threads. Each core can handle a separate stream of data. This architecture greatly increases the performance of a system that is running concurrent applications.
  • The i9-10900K has more threads. Larger programs are divided into threads (small sections) so that the processor can execute them simultaneously to get faster execution.
  • For some games, a cpu with a higher clock speed, or in a technical name IPC (Instructions per clock), has better results than other CPU's with higher core count and lower core speed.
  • The i9-10900K has a higher turbo clock boost. Turbo Boost is a CPU feature that will run CPU clock speed faster than its base clock, if certain conditions are present. It will enable older software that runs on fewer cores, to perform better on newer hardware. Since games are software too, it is also applicable to them.
  • The i9-10900K has a smaller process size. The faster a transistor can toggle on and off, the faster it can do work. And transistors that turn on and off with less energy are more efficient, reducing the operating power, or “dynamic power consumption,” required by a processor.

I need a replacement for my I3-2130I have a i3-2130 and a Radeon 7770. I want a CPU that will not bottleneck my GPU. And i would not wanna replace my motherboard either if possible. Thanks:)

For around $250? You can get a HD 7950 for under $200 if you look around right now. The new R9-270X will launch @ $199 as well. On the reviews i saw on new egg, they all said it was hot and took alot of power. And will the R9-270X be good when i come outs? Depends on the type of 7950, what is your full specs, don't expect to run it with something like a CX430.

The Pentium has slight advantages in clocks and IPC, but the Core i3 has hyperthreading. In most cases the Core i3 would be better.

GTX 1060 and I3 2130Hello, Question is it will be really hard bottlenecking with my i3 2130 ? My old gpu broken, so I'm looking for new. I'm choosing GTX 1050TI or GTX 1060. What guys you think ?

Go with the GTX 1050 ti if your not upgrading your CPU. That Core i3 is pretty old by now.

What can a i3-2130 on-board graphics do?I'm negotiating right now over the price of a i3-2130, h61m, and 8gb of g.skill ripjaw ram. He is almost firm on $60 for the bundle. Is this a good deal? I'm not sure what the on-board video can do. Like, can I lay any games on it? I'm thinking about just putting a 960 in there once I get a little more cash.

Yeah that is actually a pretty good deal, the I3-2130 is a pretty sub par CPU but for that price its pretty decent and the on board graphics isn't even worth think about really as you said you could put a GTX 960 in there in the future but you wont be playing the newest AAA games on ultra but you should get away with decent frame rates on medium on most games if not higher.

I3-2130 vs G3258I have a G3258 not overclocked currently, as well as a spare LGA1155 mobo laying around.... Do you think I'll see a performance boost if I switch to an i3-2130? I'll be using 8gb of ram and a 750ti, and be playing games like Fortnite, Warframe, WoW, etc.

if you do not overclock the i3 is somewhat better than your g3258. if you do any overclock you probably will not win in the change. In any case, I do not think it's worth the effort for such a small profit.
