GTX 750Ti w/ Core2Duo E6550, bottleneck or no?I currently have the Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33Ghz 2MB Cache.. which is very weak.I'm planning to upgrade to either of the followingGTX 750 / GTX 750 Ti / or GTX 650...Will there be a great amount of bottleneck or not?.. I need an estimate of the bottleneck percentage if applicable.

Well, As i did read on your provius topic, You own a MANLI GT 730, Which has his memory downclocked to 500. And if you want a new graphicscard, Go ahead and get one. But you cannot get %100 out of the graphics card. Ill suggest you to upgrade to a Core2Quad after buying the graphics card to get better performance.

Best GPU for Core 2 Duo E6550 @2.33GHz ?I have the GT 710, and I can see that it bottleneck the CPU.Suggest a good graphics card for E6550!And would plugging a PCIex3.0 on a PCIex1.1 have any effect on frame rate? What other effects does that have?300W PSU4GB DDR2PCIex 1.1For gaming (GTA V, FC4, FC Primal, etc.)I've selected the GT 1030, would that be overkill for the CPU?Don't tell me upgrading old PCs are not worthy!! Thanks.

You can go for a GTX 1050, it will be fine. You will have a good 720p performer below 40 to 60 FPS. GTA V, FC primal etc. are AAA games that will not fare better with that PC as they are heavy on CPU also. You will see dips to 20s in those games. But games like overwatch, CS GO, Paladins, DOTA 2, LOL will work very nicely at 60 FPS at 720p. And, no that PCI E link will not create a difference in performance in your system. Also, you need more RAM, at least 8 GB. All in all, your system unfortunately wont be able to handle AAA games released 2012 and above at 60 FPS high settings at 720p, but you will feel the difference of upgrade definitely. Also, research on whether your motherboard will be compatible with the latest gen graphics cards as they usually require UEFI on the motherboards to work. I had tried gtx 1060 for a couple of days on my old BIOS based AMD phenom II 720 PC and it worked. But, your mileage may vary, so check it beforehand.

Overclocking Intel core 2 duo e6550Hi, ive been wondering how to overclock my cpu for a long time just havent figured it out. My system that i have has a Intel core 2 duo e6550 2.33 Ghz (stock fan), P5k SE motherboard and 4gb dram frequency 333.7 Mhz also a Amd Radeon 6570. I hoping to get at least 2.5 Ghz or up to 2.9 Ghz if that is possible. Step by step instructions if possible thank you

We yet don't know what you're overclocking for.Your current processor is running at 2.33GHz and you are expecting an overclock of 2.5GHz~2.9Ghz. In all likelihood those frequencies are minor to say the least. Going any higher and you risk killing your system merely because;a| you don't have aftermarket coolingb| your motherboard doesn't have adequate cooling for the VRM areac| your system, judging from the specs, is aged and time might have taken a heavy toll on the innards thus the system is unreliable for any strenuous activities to say the least. It would be best to get a new system altogether and try your hand at overclocking. I'd have suggested getting a better GPU but anything you'll put in it will be bottlenecked and overclocking your CPU to remove that bottleneck would be fruitless in the end.

Best it supports is a core2quad q6600, not the greatest, but if you can find it for 20-30$ should be better. Also with some cooling, can easily reach 3.6ghz and be usable. And it will work great with a gtx 750ti

TBH, I'm not sure, although it's kind of a hit or miss if the newer cards will work with the older systems.
