i7 2700k core speed not matching multiplierI overclocked my i7 2700k to 4.4 in the BIOS (set the multiplier to 44) but when running prime95 to stress test and checking cpu-z, the core speed never goes that high. Am I doing something wrong? mobo is an MSI G45-Thunderbolt in case that info is needed.Edit: After stopping prime95 the core speed and multiplier have gone back up to what I set in the BIOS. Sorry if I am being a total newbie at this, but is that how it should work, the cpu throttling down when under load?

2700k is fast as 4770k, it kills 8350 with ease.

Intel i7 2700k high temps at idleAlright, well since the posts i have found only mention the cpu being over clocked, thought id make a post. Anyways, I have been thinking about OC'ing my 2700k, so i got to monitoring a few things before i attempted to do so, did a quick stress test on the intel extreme tuning, and apparently my cpu temps sky rocket into the 90C range! right now its idling around 50C sometimes higher. Saw some other posts of OC'd guys with way lower idle temps. So I have no clue what is going on. Edit: forgot screen shot of idle

Go into the BIOS, the advanced area, and enable XMP then select Profile 1, that should set your DRAM to 2133, then you can look in CPU-Z in the Memory tab and it should show as 1066 (this is DDR (DOUBLE data rate) so take true freq (1066 times 2 = 2133 effective freq
