i5 6600K 100% usageI'm having an issue where my CPU the i5 6660k @4.5 hits 100% usage when i'm playing games at 1440P over 120 FPS. This usually results in my mouse stuttering from time to time while the CPU tries to catch up. I just ordered a i7 7700k because I dont want to upgrade my MB just yet for the 8700k. Will the i7 7700k get rid of this 100% CPU usage or is it just something I have to deal with. When I game I always have everything closed besides Discord. As soon as I cap the frame rate to 60 the CPU usage drops to 60-80%.current buildMSI Tomahawk Z17016 GB DDR4 3200MSI 1080 TIi5 6600KAcer Predator XB271HU 1440, GSYNC, 165HRZ

I just got my 1440p monitor about a week or two ago, so I've only played a couple games PUGB and Battlefront II and I havent' seen 100% CPU usage.I think the only times I did see 100% CPU usage were at 1080p playing Battlefield 1 and AC Origins but it was only for a second or two and I did not experience mouse skipping.

Yes, H170 motherboards support a 7700K (with a BIOS update). As said above, you won't be able to overclock, which is the primary purpose for getting a 'K' CPU. That being said, even without overclocking the 7700k will be ~10% faster than the 7700.

GTX 1070Ti & i5 6600kThe cpu is base clocked and I'm using a 1920x1080 monitor. Will these two work together?

Yes, they will work together just fine. OC the CPU a little to get better FPS (not by too much admittedly, but still worth doing). You will need a stronger CPU down the line if you want fluid game play with everything maxed out. The 4c/4t CPU's max out a little in games like BF1/V, COD BO4 so having a CPU like a i7 6700/7700/k would be a good upgrade path to consider if you have any stuttering in game.

I5 4690k or I5 6600k?Currently i have a setup of i5 4690k unfortunately my motherboard is dead, so i want to know does upgrading to i5 8400 is needed in order to play 2018 games (far cry 5, rdr2,pubg etc) and i would like to get GTX 1070 for my current setup or i5 8400 setup. My last gpu is 970 which ive sold it last year since that ive been gaming on my PS4. If the 8400 is not worth i will buy the 1150 to replace my faulty motherboard and buy the 1070, if its neccesary to upgrade i will build a new setup of 1151 socket. Gaming on 1080p only and would like my games on ultra and 60fps.

i5 6600k or i5 6500?As the title says I don't know which CPU to get. I do know that you can overclock with the i5 6600k, but I have never overclocked before and might never get into it.

i5 6600k vs i5 6500Hello, what is the true fps difference between the i5 6600k and the i5 6500. I currently have a gtx 1060. I have a 144hz monitor and play games like csgo, gta v, battlefield 1. I know I wont get 144 fps in gta and battlefield 1 but i need it in csgo. Thank you for your help. Also I do not plan on overlcocking unless i get a big fps gain. Also what is the difference between the retail version and the oem.

Intel Core i5-6500 or the Intel Core i5-6600K?So I have a machine that's about 4 years old. It was designed as a mid budget machine, but it's age is starting to taking it's toll.I currently have this AMD CPU installed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103894Following some advice from a classmate I'm looking at Intel processors. So I've boiled down my choices to the Intel Core i5-6500 or the i5-Core-6600K. My classmate recommended to look at anything with the "K" in it. However I'm not absolutely ready to spend that much money on it unless I have to.I run a 1920 x 1080p resolution for my gaming, with FFXIV:ARR being my main game, but I want to play a lot of the newer titles at max settings. Which CPU is the best bang for my buck as somebody who'll be running a 1080p resolution at 60 frames (possibly going to 1920 x 1200). I plan on getting a single GTX 970 and then getting another for SLI when the price drops. Or possibly whatever new card Nvidia will announce hopefully soon.
