Is the I7 5775c a good processor?HelloI was dead certain to buy an i7 6700k but i saw the i7 5775c its a bit more expensive but if its faster in gaming its worth it Is it better?As i saw the benchmarks its not really but than why is it more expensive?Maybe is has some great feature set? Or something?There must be sg to make the 20% more price compared to a new i7 6700k reasonable right?

Um the sli plus is $10 more than one of the boards you listed and $1 less than the other one.

Can I upgrade my i3 4150 to a i7 5775C?Can I do it by just by "popping" it in or do I have to do a more complicated process? Also will the Broadwell and haswell differences complicate things? My desktop is a custom built, but from ibuypower, and i ordered it with a i3 4150. Then after a bit I looked into upgrading and all I worried about was the socket type. Or should i go with a i7 4770 becasue its haswell, i think?

The socket isn't going to be an issue, as Haswell and Broadwell both use the LGA 1150 socket. You do need to be concerned about what CPUs your motherboard supports, however, as certain Intel 8X series chipsets won't work with Broadwell.You probably want to stay with an i7-4790k, because Broadwell CPUs aren't widely available and they are more expensive. The iGPU inside of it is much better, but CPU performance isn't really any better overall and you can buy a graphics card with more performance if you really need it.aaron3238 did a good job of explaining the process of replacing the CPU, just one small thing to mention. If you have an aftermarket cooler, you will want to purchase some decent thermal paste also and re-use that cooler. If not, then you will likely want to order one to avoid heat issues. Intel's CPU coolers aren't particularly effective at cooling the Core i7 CPUs.

i7 4790K or i7 5775CI've got asus z97 p motherboard and want to upgrade my CPU from i5 to i7, I wonder if I should pick i7 4790K or i7 5775C. I can have both for same price, thats why I wonder, otherwise I would pick the chaper one.Its for my gaming and streaming PC. Also the iGPU on i7 5775C is much better so the stream will looks better if I use quick sync? I know it won't look better then x264 but if I'll be using quick sync will be the i7 5775C better option?Thanks for reply

it depends on , you are going to overclock then go with a 4790 , but when you planing on using the iGPU and not a GPU then the 5777c is the way to go . In a lot of CPU benchmarks the 5777c is only a few percent faster, and he is also unlocked so you can overclock it a littel. it also uses les power ( -20%)

Intel Core i7-5775C And i5-5675CHello, i have a few question considering this news cpu's.Does it overclock? Can they use dual GPU like amd apu's?Currently i have an pentium g3258 that i plan upgrade in couple months, i striclly use it for emulation (wii,gc,ps2 etc).The thing is, to run wii emulator you need fast dual core (4.2mhz and up), and i may considering the i5-5675C for it

i7-4790K vs i7-5775C vs Xeon E3-1231 v3Folks, I'm looking at upgrading my current gaming rig and find myself in need of some advice from the collective :-)I've got an MSI Z97I GAMING ACK Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard with 8GB DDR3-2133 memory. I'm considering the following for the CPU, coupled with either a GTX 1070 or 1080 if I can find one somewhere :-)The system mainly gets used for gaming (FPS mainly, like Doom) and video editing/compression work, but first and foremost it's for gaming. It's connected to a 1080p screen - I want the option of going 4K in the future, but it's not in my short to mid term goals.Given the dedicated GPU, I'm not really that fussed about the integrated graphics.It's a spread of about $250-$360, I don't want to upgrade the mobo, and I'm unlikely to overclock, so from the above, what would people suggest as the best route? I'm leaning to the i7-4790K at the moment, but the saving with the Xeon could be the difference between a 1070 or 1080 GPU.Thanks!

1st, for value the xeon is a clear winner. but if you want gaming performance, the i7 4790K would be the best of the 3.2nd, id go for the Xeon and getting a GTX 1080, only said this coz you are going for 4k soon (which isnt ideal to be honest, 1440p is a good spot but to each his own). but maybe by the time you get a 4k monitor, new version of the GTX 1080 comes out or an AMD equivalent. so youd probably be better off with getting the xeon E3 1231 v3/i7 4790k and a GTX 1070 and saving the extra money so you can upgrade to a better card for 4k soon. since the GTX 1070 is plenty for 1080p gaming.
