The RTX 2070 might be the mid-range flagship of the latest Turing set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most entry-level PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 2060 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 350. The good news is, with the release of the RTX 2060 SUPER, the RTX 2060 's price is getting more discount.

NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by entry-level prices with performance that knocks on the door of mid-range graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the RTX 2060, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. The RTX 2060 is much more expensive than the GTX 1060 6GB as it costs a whopping $ 350. Compare this to the GTX 1060 6GB, which came originally at a price of $ 254. Meanwhile, the AMD closest equivalent card is the RX 5700 which costs $ 349.

Spec for spec, this RTX 2060 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 1060 6GB, by boasting 60.9 % more fps. In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 2060 blows past the GTX 1060 6GB and, amazingly, even the GTX 1070 as well.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 2060 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 1060 6GB and it really justifies an upgrade. Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX 5700, the RTX 2060 was -4.3 % slower.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Elden Ring, Marvel's Avengers, Dying Light 2, Total War: Warhammer III at 61 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 63 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Gears of War 5, Need For Speed: Heat, Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 4, Far Cry 6 at 60 fps to 61 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 61 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Overwatch 2, Valorant at 70 fps to 148 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 109 fps.

@Glitch Nvidia is the best and RTX >>> GTX. RTX 2060 is the lowest of the RTX line (best is 40xx) but still very usable even today.

@kider so i dont think u should have any issues with this procesor since is i7 with more cores and threats so it would go great but i would recommend for you to go check some videos on yt or benchmarks to see if its good and doesnt have bottleneck so you get full performance, also go more deeper in this things to be safe and sound...u might need to replace cpu due to more wanted and houngry games that take 100%gpu at all cores, then u might get bottleneck for sure but in low end games like lol, dota, gta itc...i dont se any problem not runing for next 10y

If i have intel i5 4460 does the rtx 2060 can works good with the highest quality games?

Marselix 6 years ago
@Elad Maybe,U might get bottleneck due to much stronger gpu than cpu which means that your graphic card (2060) would need to wait for cpu to render/send to gpu, then gpu will need to wait,so lets say u get like 50-60fps same as having gtx 1050 performance....so im going to recommend to chech or ask on support site or seeing on youtube....in another way i would recommend better cpu at least 7th generation of intel processors if u want to pair with with this gpu
