Our Verdict: The price of TITAN Xp is ridiculous. With some tuning, the TITAN Xp makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RX 590 by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. The TITAN Xp is faster by 64% for 1440p gaming. For 1080p games, upgrading from RX 590 to TITAN Xp is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second. In addition, taking into account the huge price difference between the two, the RX 590 is a winner. The price/performance ratio is much better for RX 590 .

NVIDIA TITAN Xp

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Hogwarts Legacy, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dead Space, God of War, Forza Horizon 5 at 61 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 69 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, God of War, Forza Horizon 5, Metro Exodus, Assassin's Creed Odyssey at 61 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 63 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Strange Brigade, Resident Evil 2, Far Cry New Dawn, Spider-Man Remastered, Far Cry 5 at 62 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

AMD Radeon RX 590

AMD ’s xx90 cards have always been defined by high-end prices with performance that knocks on the door of extreme graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the GCN 4.0 graphics card inside the RX 590, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. Compared to its NVIDIA 's closest rival, GTX 1070, the RX 590 was -13.8 % slower.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Far Cry 6, Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter: World, Hitman 3, Godfall at 62 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Apex Legends, Resident Evil 2, Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Overwatch 2 at 60 fps to 67 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Valorant at 107 fps to 107 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 107 fps.

For those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the TITAN Xp is very expensive and there are better value choices in the short term. It is worth noting that the TITAN Xp is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the TITAN Xp 's 12288 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. 4K gaming is joyous on this TITAN Xp , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.
