Our Verdict: The price of TITAN RTX is ridiculous. With some tuning, the TITAN RTX makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RTX 2070 by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. For everyone else, especially those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the RTX 2070 could be the better value choice in the short term. The TITAN RTX is faster by 43% for 1440p gaming. However, RTX 2070 is still capable of producing more than 60 frames per second. For 1080p games, upgrading from RTX 2070 to TITAN RTX is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second. The price/performance ratio is much better for RTX 2070 .

NVIDIA TITAN RTX

The TITAN RTX is much more cheaper than the TITAN V as it costs $ 2499. Compare this to the TITAN V, which came originally at a price of $ 2999. Meanwhile, the closest equivalent card is the which costs. Spec for spec, this TITAN RTX leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the TITAN V, by boasting 18.9 % more fps.

The TITAN RTX has 24 GB RAM compared to the TITAN V 's 12 GB video memory. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The TITAN RTX consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the TITAN V and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play The Last of Us Part I, Forspoken, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart, Halo Infinite at 62 fps to 79 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 72 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Hogwarts Legacy, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, A Plague Tale: Requiem, F1 22 at 62 fps to 68 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Final Fantasy XV, Watch Dogs: Legion, Hitman 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 60 fps to 62 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 61 fps.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

The RTX 2080 might be the high-end flagship of the latest Turing set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most mid-range PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 2070 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 499. The good news is, with the release of the RTX 2070 SUPER, the RTX 2070 's price is getting more discount.

NVIDIA ’s xx70 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the RTX 2070, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. The RTX 2070 is much more expensive than the GTX 1070 as it costs a whopping $ 499. Compare this to the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, which came originally at a price of $ 399, $ 409. Meanwhile, the AMD closest equivalent card is the RX 5700 XT which costs $ 399.

Spec for spec, this RTX 2070 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 1070, by boasting 29.1 % more fps. In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 2070 blows past the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and, amazingly, even the GTX 1080 as well.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 2070 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and it really justifies an upgrade. Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX 5700 XT, the RTX 2070 was -1.6 % slower.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dead Space, God of War, Metro Exodus at 65 fps to 67 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 66 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Battlefield 2042, Baldur's Gate 3, Armored Core VI, Anthem, Watch Dogs: Legion at 63 fps to 68 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Fallout 76, Spider-Man Remastered, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Forza Horizon 4, Overwatch 2 at 61 fps to 81 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 67 fps.

TITAN RTX vs RTX 2070 with i7-8700K vs i7-8700K at 4K and ultra vs ultra settings

NVIDIA TITAN RTX / i7-8700K

In terms of cost, pricing clearly is a genuine issue here and the price of TITAN RTX is simply ridiculous. For those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the TITAN RTX is very expensive and there are better value choices in the short term. It is worth noting that the TITAN RTX is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the TITAN RTX 's 24576 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. 4K gaming is joyous on this TITAN RTX , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / i7-8700K

With some tuning, the RTX 2070 makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. In terms of memory, the RTX 2070 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2026 .
