Our Verdict: With some tuning, the RTX 4060 makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RX 5600 XT by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. The RTX 4060 is faster by 39% for 1440p gaming. However, RX 5600 XT is still capable of producing more than 60 frames per second. For 1080p games, upgrading from RX 5600 XT to RTX 4060 is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second.

NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Ada Lovelace graphics card inside the RTX 4060, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.

Spec for spec, this RTX 4060 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 3060, by boasting 15.6 % more fps. Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX 7600, the RTX 4060 was 0.099999999999994 % slower.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Forspoken, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart, Halo Infinite, Hogwarts Legacy at 62 fps to 69 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Total War: Warhammer III, Marvel's Avengers, Metro Exodus, Cyberpunk 2077 at 61 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Resident Evil 2, Far Cry 5, Resident Evil 4, Far Cry New Dawn, Death Stranding at 62 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

After taking the time to fully test the RDNA 1.0 graphics card inside the RX 5600 XT, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.

Spec for spec, this RX 5600 XT leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RX 590, by boasting 31.1 % more fps. Compared to its NVIDIA 's closest rival, GTX 1660 Ti, the RX 5600 XT was 9.9 % faster.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RX 5600 XT consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RX 590 and it really justifies an upgrade. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Elden Ring, Marvel's Avengers, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Dying Light 2, Total War: Warhammer III at 62 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 63 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Just Cause 4, Godfall, Resident Evil 4, Far Cry 6, Final Fantasy XV at 61 fps to 62 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 62 fps. For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Overwatch 2, Valorant at 71 fps to 149 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 110 fps.
