The RTX 4070 might be the high-end flagship of the latest Ada Lovelace set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most mid-range PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 399. NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Ada Lovelace graphics card inside the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.

Spec for spec, this RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti, by boasting 7 % more fps. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RTX 3060 Ti and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Forspoken, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart, Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077 at 69 fps to 77 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 72 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Red Dead Redemption 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem, F1 22, Dying Light 2, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart at 65 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Gears of War 5, Need For Speed: Heat, God of War, Forza Horizon 5, Resident Evil 2 at 62 fps to 69 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT

AMD ’s xx00 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the RDNA 2.0 graphics card inside the RX 6700 XT, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. The RX 6700 XT is much more expensive than the RX 5700 as it costs a whopping $ 479. Compare this to the RX 5700, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, which came originally at a price of $ 349, $ 399. Meanwhile, the NVIDIA closest equivalent card is the RTX 3070 which costs $ 499.

Spec for spec, this RX 6700 XT leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RX 5700, by boasting 44.8 % more fps. The RX 6700 XT has 12 GB RAM compared to the RX 5700 's 8 GB video memory.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RX 6700 XT consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RX 5700, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and it really justifies an upgrade. Compared to its NVIDIA 's closest rival, RTX 3070, the RX 6700 XT was -8.7 % slower.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Forspoken, Halo Infinite, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart, Assassin's Creed Valhalla at 69 fps to 74 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 71 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Red Dead Redemption 2, Halo Infinite, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, A Plague Tale: Requiem, F1 22 at 62 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play God of War, Forza Horizon 5, Hitman 2, Far Cry New Dawn, Resident Evil 2 at 61 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 63 fps.
