Our Verdict: With some tuning, the RTX 3060 Ti makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RTX 2060 by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. The RTX 3060 Ti is faster by 49% for 1440p gaming. However, RTX 2060 is still capable of producing more than 60 frames per second. For 1080p games, upgrading from RTX 2060 to RTX 3060 Ti is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second. The price/performance ratio is much better for RTX 3060 Ti .

Spec for spec, this RTX 3060 Ti leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 2060 SUPER, by boasting 30.8 % more fps. In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 3060 Ti blows past the RTX 2060 SUPER and, amazingly, even the RTX 2070 as well.

Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX 5700 XT, the RTX 3060 Ti was 22.1 % faster. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 3060 Ti consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RTX 2060 SUPER and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Forspoken, Halo Infinite, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Atomic Heart, Cyberpunk 2077 at 64 fps to 70 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 67 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Red Dead Redemption 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem, F1 22, Dying Light 2, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart at 60 fps to 61 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 61 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Resident Evil 2, Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 4 at 63 fps to 67 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Overwatch 2, Valorant at 70 fps to 148 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 109 fps.
