The GTX 590 might be the extreme flagship of the latest Fermi 2.0 set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most high-end PC gamers. On the other hand, the GTX 580 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 499. NVIDIA ’s xx80 cards have always been defined by high-end prices with performance that knocks on the door of extreme graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Fermi 2.0 graphics card inside the GTX 580, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.
Spec for spec, this GTX 580 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 480, by boasting 48.6 % more fps. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The GTX 580 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 480 and it really justifies an upgrade.
For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Valorant at 64 fps to 64 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.
The GTX 680 might be the high-end flagship of the latest Kepler set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most mid-range PC gamers. On the other hand, the GTX 670 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 399. NVIDIA ’s xx70 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Kepler graphics card inside the GTX 670, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.
Spec for spec, this GTX 670 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 570, by boasting 29.6 % more fps. The GTX 670 has 2 GB RAM compared to the GTX 570 's 1.25 GB video memory.
In our synthetic benchmarks, the GTX 670 blows past the GTX 570 and, amazingly, even the GTX 580 as well. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The GTX 670 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 570 and it really justifies an upgrade.
For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Valorant at 73 fps to 73 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 73 fps.
