NVIDIA ’s xx70 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Pascal graphics card inside the GTX 1070 Ti, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. Spec for spec, this GTX 1070 Ti leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 970, by boasting 62.5 % more fps.
The GTX 1070 Ti has 8 GB RAM compared to the GTX 970 's 4 GB video memory. In our synthetic benchmarks, the GTX 1070 Ti blows past the GTX 970 and, amazingly, even the GTX 980 as well.
Compared to its AMD 's closest rival, RX Vega 56, the GTX 1070 Ti was 5.4 % faster. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The GTX 1070 Ti consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 970 and it really justifies an upgrade.
For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Dying Light 2, Total War: Warhammer III, Borderlands 3, Baldur's Gate 3, Armored Core VI at 62 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Hitman 3, Monster Hunter: World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Final Fantasy XV, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at 60 fps to 62 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 61 fps.
For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Overwatch 2, Valorant at 69 fps to 145 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 107 fps.
The GTX 1660 might be the entry-level flagship of the latest Turing set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most budget PC gamers. On the other hand, the GTX 1650 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 149. NVIDIA ’s xx50 cards have always been defined by budget prices with performance that knocks on the door of entry-level graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the GTX 1650, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.
Spec for spec, this GTX 1650 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 1050, by boasting 71.2 % more fps. The GTX 1650 has 4 GB RAM compared to the GTX 1050 's 3 GB video memory.
Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The GTX 1650 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 1050, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and it really justifies an upgrade. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Fallout 76, Battlefield V, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Resident Evil 2, Strange Brigade at 63 fps to 74 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 69 fps.
For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Valorant at 94 fps to 94 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 94 fps. For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Valorant at 82 fps to 82 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 82 fps.
