Our Verdict: With some tuning, the RTX 4070 Mobile makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RX 6850M XT by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. Upgrading from RX 6850M XT to RTX 4070 Mobile is not recommended as it is less than 30% of improvement in performance. In general, a reasonable upgrade is between 30% and 50% or more to justify the purchase of new hardware. The price/performance ratio is much better for RTX 4070 Mobile .
