If possible, I'd go with an Intel CPU, even though this CPU has 6 cores, it won't do much for you in gaming. Most games only use up to 4 cores.

Phenom II X6 1075T or FX-8350?My 8150 died on me so I'm looking to get a new CPU and I can't pick which one, Phenom II X6 1075t or the 8350. I think the 8350 would be better but have heard great things about the phenom series, so I want someone's opinion.

The 8350 definitely, it is more powerful in multi-threaded tasks and in gaming. The 1075T is an old, end of life product that even your 8150 would best in most tasks.

Light reading to help you out => http://www.overclock.net/t/525113/phenom-ii-overclocking-guideYour 1075t probably sports a locked multiplier so you will need to increase the base clock (reference clock). Not sure how capable that Biostar is, but getting to 3.8GHz would mean you need to go from 200MHz to 253. ...maybe 240 is a more realistic number. Read up on the guides. There are a ton out there for overclocking the Phenom II.
