Phenom II X6 1045T
  • The Phenom II X6 1045T is more power efficient and generates less heat.
Ryzen Threadripper 1920X
  • The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has higher Level 3 Cache. This is useful when you have substantial multiprocessing workloads, many computationally intense simultaneous processes. More likely on a server, less on a personally used computer for interactive desktop workloads.
  • The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has more cores. The benefit of having more cores is that the system can handle more threads. Each core can handle a separate stream of data. This architecture greatly increases the performance of a system that is running concurrent applications.
  • The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has more threads. Larger programs are divided into threads (small sections) so that the processor can execute them simultaneously to get faster execution.
  • For some games, a cpu with a higher clock speed, or in a technical name IPC (Instructions per clock), has better results than other CPU's with higher core count and lower core speed.
  • The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a higher turbo clock boost. Turbo Boost is a CPU feature that will run CPU clock speed faster than its base clock, if certain conditions are present. It will enable older software that runs on fewer cores, to perform better on newer hardware. Since games are software too, it is also applicable to them.
  • The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a smaller process size. The faster a transistor can toggle on and off, the faster it can do work. And transistors that turn on and off with less energy are more efficient, reducing the operating power, or “dynamic power consumption,” required by a processor.

Best GPU optimize for AMD Phenom II x6 1045tI'm looking for a video card that will work well with the Phenom x6 1045t without bottlenecking, I'd also like it to be able to handle games 1080p between high and ultra settings. Any suggestions? I'm also thinking about the 6870, workable?

Its not even as good as a FX4300 - my benchmark for really weak CPUs. Try a GTX750Ti at best. You should be OK with a HD6870

Overclocking AMD Phenom II X6 1045tHi, I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1045t @ 2.7GHz and was wondering if overclocking would be okay for me to try on my motherboard? It's a LENOVO Tilapia CRB motherboard with a 780G chipset. It's almost 3 years old now I'd say. Would it be okay for me to try to overclock the CPU to say 3.1 or 3.2 GHz, or would I potentially fry my components by doing so? EDIT: Forgot to say that the reason I would like to overclock is that my performance in games is not as good as expected with an MSI Radeon HD 7870, the GPU usage only goes up to about 40% during a game, causing low fps.Thanks.

Just did a quick search and your motherboard appears to only support up to 95w CPU's. Your CPU is 95w stock. I would not try to pull any more power out of that motherboard.

AMD Phenom II X6 1045T OC PLEASE HELP!Ok, so I want to overclock my phenom II because of how it bottlenecks my gtx 760 SC and I want to be able to hit like 4ghz if it is possible, but my minimum is like 3.5ghz. I want to use an air cooler for it, because I am afraid of a water cooler breaking while I'm using it. I need help choosing a air cooler for this kind of job (if there are any). I have been thinking about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo but I'm not sure of it. My budget for this cooler is maximum $80. Here are my pc specs:CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045tMotherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUSRAM: I am not sure of this but I think it is Kingston HyperX Red 8gb I will give a more accurate answer to this if it is neededPSU: 750 wattCase: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01THANK YOU FOR HELP!

go over to xbitlabs. they have a step by step over clocking tutorial on that cpu. was posted a year or two so you'll have to look for it. never used that board so maybe take advice given.

AMD Phenom II x6 1045t overclock helpI have been using this CPU for a little while now and want to try overclocking it.My specs:AMD Phenom II x6 1045 w/ ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2.ASUS m4a88T-MPatriot 8GB DDR3 RAMI took a stab at changing a few settings in the BIOS with another guide on here. Here is my CPU Z screenshot: http://puu.sh/7zdti.pngI was able to run a prime95 Small FFT test for 10 minutes with no failure, yet with a Blend test after 3 minutes I was recieving "Worker stopped" for one worker, which then led to more giving out.Where do I go from here?

You can over clock a ways with this cooler, if you really want to go at it, get a H100i or custom liquid setup. The first this to do is up the CPU multiplier in the BIOS by .5 increments (starting at the normal stock setting). Each time, run P95. If you get an error, go to the BIOS and raise the VCore a little bit. Raise it until you do not get an error. Play with it and be careful!

Will these GPUs bottleneck a Phenom ii x6 1045t?Will the following be bottlenecked by my cpu? GTX 670, GTX 970, R9 290, HD 7970If so, by how much. Would it be worth it to upgrade to Skylake/Zen when it come out?How much OC do i need to get rid of the bottleneck? THX

Overclock the phenom and it should do well even with the GTX 970 or Radeon 7970
