Can I overclock AMD Phenom II X3 710 CPU?Hello everybody! I just stumble on an old PC with this CPU and I found out that it is an AMD Phenom II X3 710 2.6GHZ. My question is: Can I overclock this cpu if I'll pair it with Gigabyte GA 990 FXA-UD3 rev. 4.0 motherboard?

Not many motherboards allow unlocking the 4th core, but it should be in the BIOS settings, on my old motherboard, the bios had a special software just for unlocking cores, but it really depends on the BIOS, if you can find something related to CPU Configuration, you should be able to see something about unlock the 4th core, if not, then your motherboard does not support it.
