The HP dv6t-7300 will definitively be worth that extra money. What will you be using it for ?

fx 8350 vs i5 3340Hi so im building a second rig for gaming and might do light editing on it nothing extreme and i can get both of these cpus with mobos for the same price which one would simply be better for gaming/light editing also i can overclock the fx with a water cooler?

yeah that is NOT a good motherboard for a FX8350. It's 4+1 power phase cannot handle the heat of a 125w cpu. Avoid.

i5 3340s bottleneck an RX 480?I've been using a PC comprised of old parts I had lying around and a 750Ti for a while now, and was just wondering if an i5 3340s would bottleneck an RX480 too much? I understand it'll probably bottleneck a bit, but I'm hoping to build a whole new PC with an i5 6600k eventually and if I can get away with it, I'll get the 480 and a new power supply first and wait for the CPU. Cheers.

You can hit over 60 most of the time in 1440p with mix of ultra and high without problems. Also in 2-3 months both Intel and AMD will release new line of CPU's, so then you can chose what CPU to buy.

Compatible Intel i5-3340 GPU SuggestionI've got a Intel i5-3340 and i would like to build a Desktop with it... i plan:MotherBoard : Any H61 type (Asrock) (Very cheap in our Country PH)PSU : FSP Raider 80+ Silver 550w/650wMemory : 2gb & 4gb XMS3 DDR3 1333mhz Memory (from my old PC)GPU: ??my question is which card will suffice?GTX660ti? GTX 760? or R9 270x???as i dont overclock but i want to play latest games with medium setting (just want a decent FPS) but i think my CPU & memory would bottleneck what i plan... can you guys suggest which on those... like to play batman arkham series, tom raider, castlevania and hopefully watchdogs.....

-FSP Raider= crap quality. What other options are available to you?-The CPU and the RAM sticks will not bottleneck the mentioned GPUs by any means.-Perfomance wise its like GTX 660 Ti<R9 270X<GTX 760<R9 280. Depends on your budget and availability.

Should I upgrade my i5 3340 @ 3.10?Hey, guys. So I have an I5 3340 @ 3.10. 8 GB DDR 3 1600, 1TB hard drive, ASRock Z77 Extreme3, and GTX 980 ti. I was wondering if my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU. I'm gaming on 4k. When I play AC unity, I notice that my cpu isn't being fully used, and I really don't know what that means. I read that AC unity is CPU intensive, so shouldn't my CPU be hitting 100%? How would I know if I'm being bottlenecked? Any responses are much appreciated. If you have any recommendations, let me know, please. I'm may upgrade during Black Friday if I need to. My upgrade budget is around 400-500 USD.

The statement you made above tells me the CPU is NOT bottlenecking right now. It's allowing the GPU to run at its max potential, while still having some headroom available for itself. I suspect it will be OK with 4K as long as you use that card. The card can't do more than 100% no matter what CPU it's working with. And your CPU has some room to spare.CPU bottleneck occurs when the gfx card (GPU) can't reach its full potential because the CPU is already at its max capability. Your situation shows the opposite. The GPU is maxing out, while the CPU has some room left. I'd say that was a pretty well balanced combination.Upgrading to an Ivy Bridge i7 will probably mean buying used or paying a premium for a discontinued item.
