It's a mid range CPU. Not really suitable for the latest games but it could play most games at a respectable fps.

i3 8100 WITH a rx 560.Hi! So my girlfriend is in need of a new computer, Shes been using a laptop and its starting to honestly fall apart, She wants to get a new laptop for under or near 400$ But it told her if she wanted to double that she could play all the newer games. Shes not sure about it. She does like to play games like dying light and some other older/newer games. So i put together this list. (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/TristIsLit/saved/GHsP3C)Now i'm just wondering is a i3 8100 paired with a rx 560 okay? And is there any other changes you people recommend? (HEADS UP The ram is gonna be a 2x4 2666 ddr4 but pc part picker doesnt have that one)

The RX 560 4GB is okay if you don't care about image quality or high frame rates. I'd probably swap it around so I could afford a better GPU. G4560 to i3 8100So basically I have a g4560 paired with a 1050ti at the moment. Most games I play it with like GTA V, ROTTR, BF1 I noticed that my CPU tends to be 100% and my GPU not even 80%. Because of this, my gameplay stutters ALOT. It's so unplayable. If I change to coffee lake, i3 8100 which also means I need to change my Mobo (don't mind with that), does it make any sense?? Will my gameplay of misery finally come to an end??

The i3 8100 is essentially a kabylake i5 7600.Yes it's better , the 7600 would mean no motherboard or platform change though. It's an easier swap out choice , I do understand though that it's not really any cheaper.
