Phenom II X4 960T next upgrade? So I bought an old PC and gtx 750ti and sure it can run some things like Sonic Generations at 60 fps at 1080p, but no way could it play GTA 5 smoothly even in Safe Mode. So I'm upgrading to this, but interested to know how well it might perform, and if I can upgrade it further?Phenom II X4 960T (I think the best for the motherboard)Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 coolerASUS M4A78LT-M LE (95W max CPU)MSI GTX 750ti8GB DDR3 1600 RAMEVGA 600W PSUthanks!

I'd still say it's oranges and bananas. You could make the comparisons by running those games on your system and then compare them to what other people report on their consoles. But then you get a Windows Update or you install some other program which may completely ruin your FPS or knock it through the roof. There's just no telling what may happen.-Wolf sends

AMD Phenom II X4 960T fit on a M2N68-LA MoboWas curious before I bought this processor if the AMD Phenom II X4 960T CPU 3.0GHz Socket AM2+/AM3 938pin HD96ZTWFK4DGR Quad-CORE /Four-Thread /95W, would fit on my M2N68-LA motherboard. I know mine only support a 95W cpu but I would like to make sure before dropped almost $100 on it. Thank you!

Phenom II X4 945 vs 960tHi, I am upgrading an old AMD rig that currently has an Athlon II X2 240 CPU. The motherboard (M2N68-AM plus) will support both a Phenom II X4 945 (NZ$40) and Phenom II X4 960t. (NZ$50).The specs are similar with a 3.0GHz base clock. It appears the 960t has a boost of 3.4GHz and a slightly larger L2 cache.I have plenty of GPU options and find that the X2 CPU is currently the bottleneck.Does anyone know if there will be any noticeable difference in gaming FPS between the two? Games usually played are WoT and older FPS.Thanks in advance for any answers

It is a good upgrade if you're stuck with perhaps the old 2010 PC with *for instance* an AthlonIIx2 235 and just want to upgrade that and get more juice out of it then by all means. It will cure the bottleneck of the dual core Athlon, ..Your games will run much faster/be richer, fuller -but you'll still have issues against any newer setupI surely wouldn't build a new desktop with that processor

Help With overclocking AMD II X4 960TSpecs Below..MINI GTX 960 2GB (Overclocked)AMD II X4 960T (3Ghz)8GB Ram1T HDDAny help is appreciated, I'm only asking now because i've noticed how unstable my games are, like i run cs go at 200 fps and sometimes i drop like 25 fps and it goes back to 200 and the stutter can be quiet annoying sometimes..this happens for alot of games.

Check your temps while gaming, if they CPU exceeds a certain temp then it will throttle performance to keep from overheating, thus your performance will drop momentarily.
