Switch from Phenom II x4 to i7 920/30 based rigPlanning to replace current build with Intel and having problems figuring out the right motherboard.. Going to OC the chip a little and USB3 is a must, am i better off getting a PCI-E card or does something fit my needs perfectly?

Get an i5 2500K. Much better performance than any LGA1366 except for the multi-threading monster 6 cores 980. I once saw it goes as low as $100-125. A second hand i7 2600K nearly twice than that, while performance wise both are pretty close.Strongly recommend a new motherboard. Don't buy second hand stuff for motherboard. If anything fails over time, motherboard is very likely to be the first. Mileage vary depend on usage. For this purpose, at least a H67 chipset. I estimate about $30-45.The rest of the budget should go to GPU. Any left over get twin RAM sticks.
