Core2 Duo E4600
    Athlon II X2 220
    • The Athlon II X2 220 has higher Level 2 Cache. Data/instructions which have to be processed can be loaded from the fast L2 and the CPU does not have to wait for the very slow DDR RAM
    • For some games, a cpu with a higher clock speed, or in a technical name IPC (Instructions per clock), has better results than other CPU's with higher core count and lower core speed.
    • The Athlon II X2 220 has a smaller process size. The faster a transistor can toggle on and off, the faster it can do work. And transistors that turn on and off with less energy are more efficient, reducing the operating power, or “dynamic power consumption,” required by a processor.

1080p at "playable" FPS? Not a chance.Note: I did NOT say it won't play those games "really" well. I said It won't play those games well, if at all.-Wolf sends

Agreed - I'd go no higher than a non-Boost GTX650 Ti unless you're planning on using this card in a new computer and it's only going with the Core 2 Duo temporarily.

Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 and Geforce Gtx 750 TiWould there be any problems using a Geforce Gtx 750 Ti with a Core 2 duo E4600? My PSU is 500W

Nope, just about nothing I can think. I'd expect the only problem would be if your motherboard has the appropriate slot which I'd be surprised if it didn't.

Here's a low profile card with decent speed at a low power http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133523 That's still a PC with an outdated CPU. The RAM would be the easiest thing to upgrade actually: you can double it from 2 to 4 GB. What version of Windows is loaded on it?
